We also have an entry level position for a technician.

Located just south of the Atlanta airport, the company provides turnkey automation solutions to manufacturing companies across the U.

Our core expertise includes programmable controllers, information systems, robotic systems, variable speed drives and motion control.
We deliver solutions to customers from diverse industries - building products, automotive, metals, food processing, chemicals, and more.
We have an immediate opening for a Shop Technician for assembling and wiring electrical control panels.

FAS designs and assembles a significant quantity of control panels each year, and the Shop technician will work with a highly skilled team that focuses on safety, quality and on-time completion of control panels.

This is a full-time hourly position with overtime work as required to meet delivery commitments.
Candidate must have own transportation.

Requirements:

Must be able to read schematic drawings to wire control panels and operator stations Use tools such as drills, saws, punches, cutters, soldering iron, cutters and hand tools Use layout drawings with dimensions to accurately place and mount electrical and mechanical Mount components such as HMI screens, pushbuttons, pilot lights, VFDs, transformers, power supplies, fuses, circuit breakers, PDB, PLCs, contactors, relays, sockets, terminals, etc.

on panels or subplates Assemble electrical connections, wiring, harness and cables by routing and bundling wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards Cut, strip, bend, crimp, solder and/or mount wires to connect electrical components Maintain redline drawing markups of changes during fabrication and communicate to the manager Work well with others to meet to the company's safety and quality standards Factory Automation Systems is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.
