Job Description:

As a Direct Support Professional at ResCare Community Living, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission of empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and thrive in their communities. Our team is comprised of dedicated and compassionate professionals who are committed to providing high-quality support to our clients.

As a DSP, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living tasks, promoting social relationships, and ensuring client safety. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as feeding, ambulation, and medical monitoring
- Foster positive relationships between clients and their housemates
- Maintain a safe environment and ensure client safety
- Encourage self-help activities and promote independence
- Accompany clients to scheduled appointments

Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to work in a group home setting
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
