Job Overview

Sound Community Services is seeking a highly motivated Residential Recovery Specialist to provide direct support services to individuals making the transition from institutional care to independent living.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct Oversight: Provide daily oversight to all residents involved in the program, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Medication Administration: Monitor residents administering medications as scheduled.
  • Documentation: Complete a daily schedule in the electronic medical record and required documentation for the program.
  • Treatment Team Feedback: Provide feedback for treatment team meetings as required.
  • Lifeskills Development: Facilitate monthly activities and groups based on life skills assessments, assisting residents in developing daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, transportation, budgeting, personal hygiene, sex education, and other areas.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma (or equivalent) required; a degree or other higher education preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of behavioral health/human services related experience required. Previous experience working with individuals 18 to 25 years old who have a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Must be competent user of technology including email, agency intranet, and the electronic client record.
