Key Responsibilities
  • Communication Liaison: Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and staff to facilitate effective communication and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Patient Access: Assist patients in accessing healthcare services within our system, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources.
  • Referral Coordination: Facilitate communication with referring physicians and refer patients to appropriate resources, providing follow-up support through phone and electronic communication.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to creatively integrate competing demands and priorities in a productive working environment.
  • Verbal Communication: Effectively communicate complex problems in both formal and informal situations, conveying information clearly and concisely.
  • Cultural Competence: Demonstrate the ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients from diverse backgrounds, providing culturally sensitive support and care.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Faculty, Staff, Administration, and patients to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient-facing role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in electronic medical records and computer systems.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of specific specialty practice and workflows; working knowledge of patient-related policies and procedures; familiarity with hospital computer systems and personal computer systems.
