- Referral Coordination: Facilitate communication with referring physicians and refer patients to appropriate resources, providing follow-up support through phone and electronic communication.
- Problem-Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to creatively integrate competing demands and priorities in a productive working environment.
- Verbal Communication: Effectively communicate complex problems in both formal and informal situations, conveying information clearly and concisely.
- Cultural Competence: Demonstrate the ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients from diverse backgrounds, providing culturally sensitive support and care.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Faculty, Staff, Administration, and patients to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient-facing role.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in electronic medical records and computer systems.
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of specific specialty practice and workflows; working knowledge of patient-related policies and procedures; familiarity with hospital computer systems and personal computer systems.
