Job Summary

Special Service for Groups, Inc- HOPICS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Client Supportive Services Liaison to support the organization's mission of providing essential services to homeless individuals and families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in case management, social services, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and assistance to clients in accessing food, clothing, and other essential services.
  • Manage the food pantry and clothing closet, including receiving and organizing donations, scheduling laundry services, and coordinating with staff to meet client needs.
  • Coordinate with case management and other staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare and distribute food boxes, verify requests, and maintain accurate records.
  • Act as a volunteer lead for HOPICS-sponsored events and activities.
  • Support the Employment and Client Wellness Team as needed.
  • Provide training to HOPICS volunteers as needed.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation related to supportive service components.
Requirements
  • Minimum two years of job-related experience working with homeless individuals and families or five years of experience in social services.
  • Case management and homeless program experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of community resources and experience maintaining organized documentation.
  • Ability to work with diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
  • Verification of Employment Eligibility and Background Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe food safety certification or similar acceptable certification.
  • TB test required.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required.
  • Valid Driver's License and auto insurance required with reliable transportation.
Working Conditions
  • This position is responsible for work in a client-friendly environment and may require supporting in the pick-up and delivery of donations as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • The Client Supportive Services Liaison typically spends time sitting, standing, thinking, writing, walking, driving, carrying (max. 25 lbs), listening, speaking.
Mental Requirements
  • This position will require the individual to be able to handle constant distractions, interruptions, and uncontrollable changes in priorities/work schedules.
