Position Summary

The Wireless Test Engineer plays a crucial role in executing RF compliance evaluations. Key responsibilities include setting up, measuring, and documenting tests while engaging with clients on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, alongside the capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team. Exceptional customer service skills, motivation, organization, attention to detail, and reliability are essential traits for success in this role. A solid understanding of relevant standards such as EN, EN, EN/330/440, EN302 502, ETSI EN, ANSI C63.10, RSS-GEN, and FCC regulations is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct RF and EMC testing in accordance with CE and FCC standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on RF regulatory inquiries (e.g., CE/FCC/ISED) to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in RF regulatory testing, including drafting test plans and reports.
  • Support laboratory quality initiatives concerning maintenance, calibration, and testing processes.
  • Act as the primary liaison for tracking and communicating RF-related projects.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient knowledge and operational skills with RF regulatory testing equipment (CE/FCC/ISED).
  • Familiarity with RF regulatory testing requirements in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
  • Understanding of RF laboratory services, particularly within the TIC sector.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an RF regulatory testing laboratory.
  • Experience with laboratory testing instruments, including spectrum analyzers, power meters, communication testers, and call boxes.
  • Hands-on experience with RF testing for technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, Zigbee, Thread, RFID, and LoRa.
  • Experience with RF testing for CDMA/WCDMA, GSM/EDGE, LTE, and 5GNR transmitters.
  • Experience in conducting Power, OBW, PSD, Blocking, Adaptivity, and DFS testing.
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025 quality management systems and a general understanding of standard explanations.
  • Knowledge of test automation using communication protocols, including GPIB, USB, and TCP-IP.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience (4 years).

Experience:

  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with EMC 32, Elektra, WMC 32, BAT EMC, and WMS 32.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in RF regulatory testing (CE/FCC/ISED).

Certifications:

  • TCB certification is a plus.
