  • Maintain Compliance Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for safety plans, processes, and compliance activities to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Support Compliance Audits: Prepare for and support internal and external compliance audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Guidance and Training: Provide guidance and training on DO-178C standards and safety practices to ensure that all team members are aware of and comply with safety regulations.
  • Implement Process Improvements: Implement best practices for process improvements in safety and reliability to ensure continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Communicate Safety Objectives: Communicate safety objectives and requirements effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of and aligned with safety goals.
  • Investigate Safety Incidents: Investigate safety incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in software development, with at least 5 years focused on safety-critical systems and DO-178C compliance.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., DO-178C, FAA DER) are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of DO-178C standards, particularly for DAL A certification, and familiarity with related standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively. Meticulous attention to safety and compliance standards.
Optional Requirements
  • Proficiency with Safety Tools: Proficiency with safety, verification, and code analysis tools.
  • Software Development Methodologies: Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and V-Model software development methodologies.
  • Aerospace Industry Experience: Background in the aerospace industry and understanding of regulatory requirements.
