**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RF Engineering Director to join our team at Mattson Technology. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of RF engineering solutions that drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • RF Engineering Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the RF engineering team, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Conceptualization and Development: Participate in the conceptualization, modeling, analysis, development, documentation, and test/validation of semiconductor equipment, with a focus on RF engineering solutions.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Develop and execute test plans that generate characterization data sufficient to understand and validate the performance of the design, ensuring that RF engineering solutions meet the required specifications.
  • RF Expertise: Provide RF expertise to validate requirements and support next-generation semiconductor equipment, ensuring that our solutions meet the evolving needs of the industry.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teams and suppliers to continuously improve technology, performance, and productivity, ensuring that our RF engineering solutions are aligned with business objectives.
  • RF Device Modeling and Circuit Design: Develop and implement RF device modeling and circuit design techniques to improve the performance and efficiency of our semiconductor equipment.
  • RF Test Development and Execution: Conduct RF test development and execution, device-level reliability failure mechanisms and testing, to ensure that our RF engineering solutions meet the required standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess strong knowledge of RF system design concepts and RF delivery in the semiconductor industry, with experience in RF electrical characterization techniques and equipment.

Requirements

  • Exceptional Technical Skills: Possess exceptional data analysis, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with strong technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Leadership Experience: Have 7+ years of experience in a supervisory role, with a Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronics preferred) or MBA.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate strong business acumen, with the ability to deal with complicated internal or customer problems under deadline pressure in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess knowledge of working with CAD tools (in particular CREO) and SAP, with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
