The selected candidate will act as a Reception Specialist within the Veteran Experience division, primarily tasked with supporting the Service Chief and enhancing the overall experience for Veterans and their families. Guest Relations and Patient Navigation:
- The incumbent will facilitate the transportation program, providing essential support to the Guest Relations Program aimed at enhancing the experience of Veterans, patients, their families, and visitors. This includes addressing inquiries, identifying issues, and improving the overall campus experience.
- As a primary contact for guests, the incumbent will assist in navigating the facility, ensuring a positive first impression. Personal assistance will be provided to those unfamiliar with accessing medical center services, fostering a culture of care.
- Customer service excellence is paramount; the incumbent will demonstrate understanding, courtesy, and respect while engaging with diverse individuals. Responsibilities include greeting and directing callers and visitors, providing accurate information about the organization, and facilitating connections to appropriate staff members.
- The incumbent will manage inquiries that may require detailed explanations of office functions and services, ensuring that customers receive clear and helpful guidance.
- General office support tasks will also be part of the role, encompassing a variety of responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
Virtual Work: This position is not available for remote work.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for application.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Background/security investigation may be required.
- Participation in health-related vaccination programs is required for all personnel.
To qualify, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Experience: One year of general experience indicating the ability to perform the duties of the position, including assisting patients and visitors with inquiries and providing information about the facility.
Education: Alternatively, applicants may qualify based on education, having completed two years of education beyond high school in any relevant field.
Combination: A combination of experience and education may also be considered.
Physical Requirements: The role requires standing and walking for extended periods, as well as the ability to assist patients physically when necessary.
