Ambulatory EHR Trainer & Data Validation Specialist

The Ambulatory EHR Trainer & Data Validation Specialist will support the Population Health & Ambulatory Quality Department through the validation and utilization of quality data for clinic staff training to improve patient outcomes, meet industry standards, and promote effective EHR utilization for clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Master EHR application and organizational workflows
  • Collaborate with team and peers to develop best-in-class training programs
  • Assist in developing EHR clinical workflow training materials for clerical and clinical staff
  • Evaluate and make recommendations regarding clinical processes, workflow, and content management
  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate training plans, instruction manuals, curricula, and methodology
  • Responsible for training ambulatory clinical staff on all current workflows and customizations of their EHR
  • Assist with executing data validation in compliance with ambulatory quality key performance indicators and regulatory standards
  • Support South Central Clinics EMR utilization and optimization
  • Assist in validating and distributing ambulatory quality & non-productivity reports for provider satisfaction and non-productivity feedback
  • Responsible for assisting with verifying and validating clinical data for ambulatory clinics
  • Provide retrospective monthly patient satisfaction and provider non-productivity quality reports to providers
  • Develop and maintain a report archive for all reports completed and disbursed
  • Participate in planning and training sessions for quality improvement projects related to non-productivity measures
  • Evaluate performance and the effectiveness of training programs, identify gaps in work processes or functionality, providing recommendations for improvement in conjunction with quality department
  • Complete competency evaluations on new hires 30, 60 and 90 days post hire
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse required
  • Two years ambulatory clinical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of EMRs (CERNER and Modernizing Medicine (EMA) required
  • Demonstrates evidence of essential leadership, communication, education, and collaboration skills and proficient in communication technologies (email, phone, EHR, etc.)
  • Effective organization skills and demonstrates ability to maintain accurate notes and records
