Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Busser to join our team at T S Restaurants. As a Busser, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist servers in providing top-notch service to our guests by being responsible for all preparation, interaction, and steps of service needed to exceed guest expectations.
  • Prepare the dining room for service by setting up sections, including polishing and preparing items such as linens, silverware, and glassware.
  • Greet all guests and coworkers in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Assist the service team as needed by removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters throughout guests' meals and taking them to the kitchen for cleaning.
  • Prepare tables by clearing and cleaning tables and resetting for the next guest.
  • Assist guests with any requests or concerns and take action to correct any problems.
  • Stock service areas with supplies such as tableware and linens throughout the service period.
  • Remove trash from full receptacles and replace liners.
  • Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness in each duty performed.
  • Stock service areas with supplies as required.
  • Be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns, personal, employee, or guest injury.
  • Follow food safety program guidelines, including handwashing, bare hands, hygiene, and health.
Requirements
  • California Food Handler Certificate - Must be obtained within 30 days from hire date. Training provided if applicant does not have a valid California Food Handler Certificate.
  • US Work Authorization required. We use E-Verify to confirm Employment Eligibility Verification.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
Qualifications
  • Guest-oriented - Ability to take care of the guests' needs while following T S procedures.
  • Working under pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
  • Safety - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety as well as safely operate and handle all required equipment, appliances, and tools. Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Active listening - Ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of others.
  • Communication - Ability to communicate by speaking, effectively and clearly with guests, coworkers, and management. Ability to actively listen and understand the comments and questions of others.
  • Response to direction - Receive and follow directions from supervisors; follow direction of computer-generated tickets.
  • Teamwork abilities - Ability to work together with a team in a positive manner to achieve a common goal; understand the importance of teamwork with both other bussers and the rest of the staff.
  • Friendly - Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others.
  • Neat and well-groomed.
