Job Title: Travel Sales Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Sales Counselor to join our team at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah. As a Travel Sales Counselor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional travel sales and support experiences to our Members while attracting new clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell International & Domestic vacation packages, cruises, tours, hotel, car rental, rail and air travel.
  • Research and evaluate travel options to match member needs and deliver exceptional member experiences.
  • Stay current with world events and travel industry developments to provide relevant information to members.
  • Process and interpret travel documents for members purchasing travel products with AAA.
  • Initiate contact with members and past customers to prospect for new business and encourage repeat business.
  • Cross-sell products and services such as insurance and new membership accounts.
Requirements:
  • Basic computer skills and experience with industry-specific applications.
  • GDS experience required.
  • Knowledge of travel products and worldwide geography.
  • Strong consultative selling skills and ability to listen to member needs.
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of recent experience selling international and domestic travel services (preferred).
  • Travel Institute certification as CTA, CTC, or CTIE (preferred).
Work Environment:
  • Works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and computer use.
  • May travel for business meetings or conferences.

This is a full-time, onsite position at AAA Antioch (California). We offer a competitive hourly base plus commissions and a bonus guarantee for the first five quarters. The compensation range is $52,358.00 - $78,537.00, with top performers earning more.
