KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with both internal teams and external clients to address staff and customer requirements.
  • Handle general inquiries and manage incoming calls.
  • Address requests by gathering information and documenting detailed messages. May have the authority to make decisions on standard issues as directed by the supervisor. Escalate complex problems to supervisor/manager for resolution.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with market regulations and procedures.
  • Gather, monitor, and enter data on key operational metrics to assist in evaluating production and warehouse performance (including shortages, mispicks, damages, and service levels).
  • Review documents for precision and completeness, cross-checking information.
  • Develop and maintain basic charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and databases for managerial review.
  • Organize files, maintain records, and handle confidential information.
  • Resolve minor issues or act as a liaison. May assist in a segment of a project.
  • Generate and update regular internal reports, ensuring data collection and verification.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The position is primarily desk-based in an office setting but may occasionally involve work in production or warehouse environments, including cooler and freezer areas with temperatures as low as -5 degrees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least one year of experience in production and/or warehouse settings, preferably within the food industry.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in math, analytical thinking, and organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Capable of problem-solving and critical thinking for issues of limited scope.
  • Ability to perform cross-functional tasks and adapt to varying schedules.
  • Strong collaborative skills, supporting colleagues within the department and division.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • One year of clerical experience.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, data entry, and word processing.
