Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Clerk to join our Service Delivery team at NYC SCHOOL BUS UMBRELLA SERVICES. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Service Delivery team, including data entry, document management, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess Drivers: Evaluate drivers for physical, emotional, and mental conditions to ensure they can perform essential duties safely and competently.
  • Document Depot Operations: Record daily call outs and complete associated tasks to ensure seamless depot operations.
  • Customer Service: Answer telephones and respond to inquiries regarding Service Delivery and Operations during peak call center times.
  • Performance Analysis: Assist the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in analyzing performance data and implementing directives to improve service delivery.
  • Logistics and Administration: Collect, sort, and distribute trip cards, review them for accuracy and completeness, and handle traffic, idling, and parking violations.
  • Incident Reporting: Handle vehicle breakdowns and accidents, and enter all relevant data into the NYCSBUS Fleet Management System.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in department meetings, trainings, and special projects, such as implementing new technologies or improving processes.
  • Data Entry: Perform basic data entry tasks to support the Service Delivery team.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate, or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by New York law.
  • Experience: Experience in transportation, automotive, or related fields is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Google Apps and other related software, with experience in Microsoft Office a plus. Familiarity with fleet management, scheduling, dispatching, call center, and similar systems is preferred, with experience in Fleetio, Paycom, and Geotab a significant advantage.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a strong ability to work in a team environment.
