Lead Analyst for Private Banking Credit Services

Position Overview: We are seeking a Credit Analysis Team Lead for Private Banking to oversee a team of credit analysts. This role is essential in ensuring that our credit evaluation processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of Credit Analysts and support staff to optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Review and approve final credit packages to ensure proper deal structuring.
  • Act as a senior liaison to Credit Administrators, facilitating effective underwriting and credit risk analysis for various loan types.
  • Handle complex loans and relationships, providing backup support to the Credit Analysis team as needed.
  • Develop team talent through collaboration with Line of Business Leaders and Learning & Development, offering coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Address performance management proactively, continuously assessing team success and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant investor and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in credit analysis, lending, or underwriting.
  • Previous management experience is essential.
  • Experience in budgeting and project management is preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of commercial and construction loans, along with credit analysis and underwriting.
  • Demonstrated ingenuity and resourcefulness in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with management and staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to make sound decisions and recommendations.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit risk indicators and economic factors affecting credit quality.
  • Exceptional management skills.
