A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FACILITY MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

As a vital member of our maintenance team, you will establish and follow a schedule to ensure ongoing maintenance of all systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of building maintenance tasks, such as:

  • Carpentry
  • Electrical work
  • Plumbing
  • Interior and exterior painting
  • Masonry
  • Drywall repair
  • Small appliance repair
  • Minor equipment repair
  • Floor covering maintenance (shampooing, buffing, stripping, waxing, etc.)

You will also implement a work order system to promptly address maintenance and repair issues throughout the facility, ensuring that all necessary logs are maintained to track building and grounds maintenance.

This role allows you to innovate, plan, and oversee a maintenance program that meets or exceeds property standards while accommodating the diverse needs of our residents. You will leave each shift knowing that you have made a meaningful difference in the lives of those in your community.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR FACILITY MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years in maintenance or environmental services
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various levels of technical or professional personnel
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Commitment to safe working practices
