Senior Manager, Road Safety Initiatives, Americas

Position Overview: As the Senior Manager for On-Road Safety Signals, you will spearhead the vision and cross-functional strategy for in-vehicle safety signals aimed at Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) throughout the Americas. Your role will involve crafting and executing a strategic vision, influencing and aligning partner teams on the roadmap and prioritization, and devising solutions that enhance the safety of DSPs' delivery drivers.
Key Responsibilities: You will expand the scope and depth of safety signals and data, influence product and engineering roadmaps, identify and lead collaboration opportunities, and monitor activities across various programs and products. Accountability for timely and budget-conscious delivery of your roadmap will be a critical aspect of your role.
This position will emphasize leading strategic and safety-critical initiatives. You will formulate an in-vehicle safety strategy and vision for multiple risk areas and business lines. Additionally, you will establish and implement essential mechanisms to manage our extensive global organization in executing safety prevention initiatives, including performance goals, business reviews, and long-term planning.
Qualifications: A comprehensive understanding of operations, technology, and program management is essential. Your focus will be on ensuring the safety of Delivery Service Partner Delivery Associates (DAs) and community members while they are on the road.
This leader will navigate complex, multifaceted programs, influencing across organizational boundaries, creating alignment on shared objectives, engaging with senior leaders, and driving progress. You will possess the capability to analyze intricate business data, generate actionable insights, drive cross-functional solutions, and report progress to senior leadership.
Embracing ambiguity and fostering clarity across teams and organizations will be vital. You will be responsible for hiring and developing a team of high-performing individuals, balancing leadership through your team with the delivery of key initiatives personally. Strong relationship-building skills and sound business judgment are crucial for success in this role.
Essential Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, will enable you to collaborate effectively with diverse audiences on a wide range of safety and incident prevention topics. The ability to balance time between projects and rapid responses is a critical component for success in this position. Attributes such as maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, influence, analytical skills, and leadership are fundamental to thriving in this role.
