Job Summary:
Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation is seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Researcher - Autonomy to join our team. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for developing and applying cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to address technical challenges in aerospace and defense applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply advanced AI/ML algorithms and tools to address complex technical challenges in aerospace and defense applications.
- Support the rapid development of innovative demonstrations and prototypes to mature AI/ML-enabled autonomous systems, including modeling, simulation, and integration to real-world vehicles.
- Collaborate with external partners, including research institutions and industry leaders, to advance the state-of-the-art in AI/ML research and development.
- Contribute to the preparation of new R&D project proposals for government programs and private sector initiatives.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 3+ years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools, artificial intelligence, computer vision, or natural language processing.
- Experience with software development, including Python programming.
- Must be a US Person (US citizen or permanent resident/Green Card holder).
Preferred Requirements:
- PhD degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with robotics or autonomous vehicles.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required.
- The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at our facilities.
Salary Range:
$94,000.00 to $167,000.00 per annum.
