Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer-Journeyman to provide support in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects. The salary for this role ranges from $78,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience. Please note that this position requires on-site support.

A typical day in this role may involve:

  • Collaborating with a team of electrical engineers and technicians to develop engineering procedures and controls, manage project efforts, and lead problem resolution.
  • Interfacing with program contractors, vendors, and government representatives regarding technical aspects of engineering projects, including test scheduling and planning.
  • Researching, designing, and integrating high power transmitter systems.
  • Operating and maintaining high voltage equipment for electromagnetic capability testing.
  • Planning and conducting electromagnetic capability simulation testing, including data collection, processing, and analysis.
  • Identifying system malfunctions and coordinating repair and maintenance efforts.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or an equivalent ABET-accredited degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in repairing electronic equipment.
- Proficient in using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Familiarity with high power systems repair.
- Willingness to work both indoors (70%) and outdoors (30%).

Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in electronic test equipment.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of RF systems, including radars and magnetrons.
- Familiarity with Electromagnetic Capability (EMC) testing.
- Experience with military aircraft.

Work Environment:
The role may require short-distance travel within the site and occasional overnight travel. The physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs, as well as operating machinery for heavy object movement.
