Position Summary:
We are currently in search of a dedicated and skilled Electrical Engineer-Journeyman to provide support in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects. The compensation for this role ranges from $78,000 to $90,000, depending on experience. Please note that this position requires on-site support and is not eligible for remote work.

The role is based in Patuxent River, Maryland, a leading area for high-tech employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of electrical engineers and technicians to establish engineering procedures and controls, oversee project efforts, and lead problem-solving initiatives.
- Engage with program contractors, vendors, and government representatives on the technical aspects of engineering projects, including test scheduling and execution.
- Conduct research and assist in the design and integration of high-power transmitter systems.
- Operate and maintain high-voltage equipment for electromagnetic capability testing.
- Plan and execute electromagnetic capability simulation testing, including data collection, processing, and analysis.
- Identify system malfunctions and coordinate necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or an equivalent ABET-accredited program.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in repairing electronic equipment.
- Proficient in using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Experience with high-power systems.
- Willingness to work both indoors (70%) and outdoors (30%).
- Knowledge of electronic test equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience with RF systems, including radars and magnetrons.
- Familiarity with Electromagnetic Capability (EMC) testing.
- Experience with military aircraft.
Candidates should possess a customer-oriented mindset, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively with management and team members to achieve project goals.
Working Conditions:
The role may require short-distance travel within the site and occasional overnight travel. The physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, as well as operating machinery for heavy object movement.
