Role Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic Swim Instructors who are dedicated to teaching children the joys of swimming. Candidates should be available for at least two shifts per week (minimum of 8-10 hours) and one weekend day. While prior swimming experience is not mandatory, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspire children by teaching essential swimming skills such as diving, floating, and water safety, while fostering confidence and celebrating achievements.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging demeanor at all times, ensuring a joyful experience for our students.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to students and their families after each lesson.
  • Ensure the safety of all swimmers during classes and promote adherence to established safety protocols.
  • Attend mandatory paid training sessions once a month outside of regular working hours.
Lifeguard Responsibilities:

All instructors are required to obtain lifeguard certification within 90 days of employment. While lifeguard shifts are not mandatory, certification is essential.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred experience in swim instruction or coaching, though not required.
  • Experience working with children is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with children, parents, and team members.
  • Must obtain AED/CPR/First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire (courses provided monthly).
  • Shallow Water Lifeguard certification is preferred; Red Cross certification is accepted.
  • Participation in monthly training sessions to maintain certifications is required.

Work Environment:

Employees will frequently be in a warm, humid environment with chlorinated water, and noise levels may vary from moderate to loud.
