Key Responsibilities
  • Program Delivery: Assist in the delivery of academic and personal enrichment activities to youth in our after-school and summer programs.
  • Supervision and Mentoring: Provide direct supervision and mentoring to clients, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, staff, and community partners to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete intake paperwork, monitor youth attendance, and maintain accurate records.
  • Event Planning: Assist with planning and executing special events, such as Open Houses and Family Nights.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent, with a minimum of six (6) semester hours of college credits in early childhood education or elementary education.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with at-risk youth, preferably in an educational environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid Certification; ability to obtain 40 DCF clock hours in childcare training within 90 days of employment.
