Position Overview

If you have a passion for working with children and enjoy a lively work environment, Goldfish Swim School is the perfect fit for you. Our vibrant and inviting atmosphere is designed to make every day enjoyable for both staff and students.

We are looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructors who are eager to engage with kids and share their love for swimming. Candidates should be available for at least two shifts per week (minimum of 8-10 hours) and must be available one weekend day. While prior swimming experience is not mandatory, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Impact children's lives by teaching essential swimming skills such as diving, floating, and treading water, while also fostering bravery and confidence.
  • Maintain a fun and positive demeanor at all times, ensuring our students receive the best experience.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to students and parents following lessons.
  • Ensure the safety of swimmers during classes and encourage adherence to the "Golden Safety Rules."
  • Attend mandatory paid in-service training sessions outside of regular hours once a month.
Lifeguard Responsibilities

All instructors are required to obtain lifeguard certification within 90 days of employment. While lifeguard shifts are not mandatory, certification is essential.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in swim instruction or coaching is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with children is essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
  • Must obtain AED/CPR/First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire (courses provided monthly).
  • Shallow Water Lifeguard certification is preferred (Ellis or Red Cross accepted).
  • Attendance at monthly training sessions is required to maintain certifications.
