Senior Account Executive

IDC is seeking a seasoned Sales Executive to drive growth and expansion in the F1000 enterprises and state/local government sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of selling complex solutions to executive decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to rapidly grow and expand the designated end-user territory.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations on IDC's offerings to executive decision-makers and identify prospect needs.
- Identify prospective needs and craft winning proposals for the sale of IDC's offerings.
- Possess or quickly gain knowledge about important IT and industry issues across various sectors.
- Establish and maintain business relationships with key clients and IT vendors serving those industries.
- Collaborate with analysts, consultants, and other IDC sales professionals to achieve sales goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. MBA a plus.
- 5+ years of direct sales experience, with a strong background in selling complex goods and services to executive-level decision-makers.
- Demonstrated success working independently to drive sales growth and expansion.
- Excellent written, analytical, verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels within a company and set a sales strategy to develop new business and incremental sales with existing clients.
- Prior market research industry or technical sales experience is a plus.
- Ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, collaborative, and a self-starter.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with sales enablement tools such as Salesloft preferred.
- Up to 25% travel.
- The position is ideally located in the NYC Metropolitan Area or in a remote-approved location on the East Coast.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $200,000 and $280,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
