Key Responsibilities
  • Aggressive Pursuit of Targeted Enterprise Accounts: Identify and pursue high-value opportunities in designated territories, leveraging your expertise in the IT industry to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Execution of Total Sales Strategies: Develop and execute sales plans to move targeted prospects through the sales funnel, positioning Staples Technology Solutions as the preferred solution for decision-makers and influencers.
  • Consultative Engagement: Conduct thorough research to demonstrate knowledge of prospective customers' industries and specific business issues, preparing for consultative engagements with prospects.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Staples office products Key Account Managers, Business Development Executives, and other Category sales teams to secure contractual relationships in the technology category.
  • Improving Customer Response Times: Collaborate with the Sales Support Team to enhance customer response times and ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Providing Input to Sales Leadership: Offer insights and recommendations to sales leadership on new potential programs and initiatives.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with C-Level executives, prospects, and vendor partners at a senior executive level.
Requirements
  • Business and Financial Expertise: Demonstrate confidence in applying business and financial expertise to identify and qualify opportunities.
  • Industry Knowledge and Connections: Possess a thorough understanding of the current geographic marketplace and be well-connected or able to quickly connect with decision-makers and influencers within the IT and procurement areas of targeted organizations.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exhibit impeccable oral and written communication skills, with the ability to develop trusted customer relationships up to C-level.
  • Matching Customer Needs with Technology Solutions: Ability to match customer needs with state-of-the-art technology solutions and partners to deliver them.
  • Negotiation Skills: Possess negotiation skills to craft solutions that benefit customers, partners, and Staples Technology Solutions.
  • Internal Resource Utilization: Ability to use and engage internal resources such as Marketing, Technology Experts, Services, and others.
  • Customer-Facing Presentations: Highly skilled at creating customer-facing presentations in PowerPoint and other methods.
  • IT Industry Understanding: Strong understanding of the IT industry, with the ability to recognize, follow, and speak to industry trends.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED: Minimum educational requirement.
  • 3+ Years of Sales Experience: Demonstrated successful strategic relationship-building and solution-selling experience in the Fortune 1000 and/or Global 500 market.
