POSITION TITLE:

Marketing Coordinator

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

Facilitate and collaborate with various departments within the university to develop marketing materials that represent the University of Wyoming. Create visual content, including graphics, short videos, imagery, and written content that reflects the university's brand identity. Assist in formulating social media strategies for both existing and new university accounts. Interact with social media followers by addressing inquiries and directing them to the relevant campus departments. Participate in on-campus events to capture content and collaborate with team members to disseminate it across various social media channels. Foster relationships with student-oriented units to generate pertinent social media content. Deliver engagement analytics to your supervisor and provide suggestions for enhancing social media interactions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and produce marketing graphics and content for various campaigns that align with the university's mission.
  • Create distinctive designs suitable for multiple marketing platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and web content.
  • Generate error-free captions and content for social media with regular updates to the university's profiles.
  • Adhere to the university's branding guidelines to ensure high-quality marketing materials.
  • Understand UW's key audiences and their content requirements, including prospective and current students.
  • Become proficient with Facebook Business Manager to assist in managing university-wide social media accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify impactful content that aligns with the university's mission and goals.
  • Create short-form videos for social media.
  • Thoroughly proofread and review all marketing content before submission for supervisor approval.
  • Monitor and respond to public and direct messages on various social media platforms during weekdays.
  • Report elevated social media concerns or comments to your supervisor and provide recommendations for resolution when necessary.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist or independently deliver presentations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Art, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Experience: 1 year of relevant work experience

Required licensure, certification, registration, or other requirements: Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
