Technical Support Specialist

Apex Systems is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Level 1 and 2 support, escalating Level 3 issues as needed
  • Manage proprietary software changes and introduce new technologies
  • Offer full desktop support, including diagnosing issues, reimaging computers, and password assistance
  • Resolve field computer problems and leverage a ticketing system to manage workflow
  • Occasionally work with vendors, tracking service agreements and maintaining inventory
Requirements:
  • 2 years of Level 1 Help Desk experience
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of Level 1 and 2 Help Desk experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success troubleshooting PC-related problems in a Windows environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of computers, networks, systems, and the Internet
Core Competencies:
  • Self-starter able to work independently and problem-solve without direct supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with users and vendors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage demand
