Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team at NorCal Imaging Centers. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and will play a critical role in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and Register Patients: Welcome patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our facility.
  • Obtain and Verify Patient Information: Collect and verify patient information, including insurance and demographic data, to ensure accurate and timely processing of patient records.
  • Collect and Log Co-Pays and Fees: Collect and log all co-pays and fees in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Answer and Transfer Calls: Answer and transfer incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that patients receive timely and accurate information.
  • Schedule and Coordinate Appointments: Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as needed, ensuring that patients receive timely and accurate information about their appointments.
  • Provide Patient Orientation: Provide patients with orientation and instructions on preparatory and safety protocols, ensuring that they are aware of and understand their responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with Back-Office Staff: Coordinate with back-office staff to ensure timely and effective care of patients, including ordering and processing medical records and test results.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills: Intermediate to advanced computer skills are required for this position, including proficiency in electronic medical records and scheduling software.
  • Strong Multitasking and Communication Skills: Strong multitasking and communication skills are required for this position, including the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Experience providing exceptional customer service is required for this position, including the ability to remain professional and courteous in all interactions with patients and staff.
  • Medical Terminology Knowledge: Medical terminology knowledge is preferred for this position, including familiarity with medical records and coding systems.
