Job Summary

Omeros Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Research Associate/Associate Scientist/Scientific Researcher to join our Protein Chemistry team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and executing experiments to produce high-quality protein reagents, as well as developing and implementing protein production technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Protein Production and Analytics: Design and execute experiments to produce high-quality protein reagents, including recombinant protein expression, vector construction, and protein purification.
  2. Technical Expertise: Apply technical skills towards recombinant protein expression, including the use of expression systems (E. coli and HEK) and protein purification (AKTA, Chromatography).
  3. Quality Control: Determine protein quality attributes, including purity, size, aggregation state, and endotoxin.
  4. Biophysical and Protein Analytical Techniques: Apply biophysical and protein analytical techniques, such as UPLC (Reversed Phase, aSEC, aCEX, aHIC), Mass-spec, SPR, or Octet.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: A BS degree with a minimum of 3+ years (8+ years) of relevant industry experience; a MS degree with 1+ years (4+ years) of relevant industry experience; a PhD with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  2. Technical Skills: Experience with recombinant protein expression, protein purification, and biophysical and protein analytical techniques.
  3. Behavioral Competencies: Build collaborative relationships at the group and interdepartmental levels, and provide interpretation of production and functional relationship results to help guide selection of therapeutic modalities.
Benefits

Omeros Corporation offers a competitive total compensation package, including a salary range of $95,000 - $128,000, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with a company match. Employees accrue three weeks of vacation and 80 hours of sick time on an annual basis and receive twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. This position is eligible for bonus and stock options.
