ROLE OVERVIEW:


The Head of Marketing Strategy is accountable for the development, implementation, and assessment of innovative marketing initiatives, brand enhancement, public relations, and communication strategies that align with the strategic objectives and growth aspirations of Hills Bank.

This position will lead the internal marketing team, oversee the revamping of the digital presence, enhance data-driven marketing systems, and expand digital marketing efforts, alongside traditional marketing and business development functions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Formulates and presents the annual marketing strategy and plan for the organization. Establishes key performance indicators for the Marketing Department and monitors them regularly for management reporting.

Develops and manages the marketing plan, budget, policies, and procedures for the organization.

Provides oversight for the organization's advertising and promotional initiatives.


Collaborates with department leaders to identify business development opportunities and crafts targeted, measurable marketing strategies to achieve overarching organizational goals and enhance communication effectiveness.


Identifies and utilizes the necessary data to deliver relevant marketing initiatives that support business development objectives and enhance the customer experience.


Delivers reports on campaign outcomes, return on investment for marketing initiatives, and achievement of goals from team activities, optimizing efforts based on results.


Manages the creation and maintenance of marketing technology capabilities, including email marketing, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, and the organization's website.

Oversees the daily operations of the department. Selects, trains, mentors, and develops team members. Ensures quality and timely completion of work. Sets objectives and evaluates individual performance. Regularly communicates policies, goals, and results.

Manages relationships with third-party marketing vendors.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Acts as the primary liaison with media partners, negotiating contracts to support the marketing objectives of the organization.

Collaborates with technology and operations teams as new customer-facing technologies and delivery channels are explored and developed.

Participates in community events to positively represent the organization.

Serves as a primary media contact and spokesperson for the organization.

Maintains professional expertise through attendance at relevant seminars, conferences, and workshops.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field is required.

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in marketing is required, with prior experience in the financial services sector preferred.


A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role with responsibility for creating functional strategies and specific marketing department objectives is required.

Strong knowledge and experience in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, and social media channels are essential.


Must be willing to engage in community activities and events, which may include some evening and weekend hours.
