Position Summary

The Head of Brand Collaborations - Creative Strategy is a pivotal role within the equalpride Brand Partnerships team. This position seeks an innovative and agile thinker capable of bridging the gap between various stakeholders, platforms, and brand objectives with unique and effective creative solutions. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional collaboration skills and a dynamic approach to communication, both written and verbal.

As a vital member of the equalpride Brand Partnerships team, your primary responsibilities will include developing creative strategies and innovative solutions across our extensive brand portfolio, which includes Out, The Advocate, Out Traveler, Health Plus, and The Advocate Channel. Your work will encompass a variety of content and products, including Editorial, Social Media, Video, Experiential, and Over-the-Top (OTT) content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with sales and brand partnership leadership to design year-long tentpole events and editorial sponsorships, as well as manage daily RFPs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of brand partnership managers throughout the RFP process, ensuring a streamlined workflow and establishing a center of excellence.
  • Engage in creative writing, producing everything from comprehensive campaign concepts to engaging copy for various marketing initiatives.
  • Drive content development across multiple media formats, creating integrated advertising campaigns and experiential events.
  • Stay ahead of trends and utilize storytelling to enhance social media engagement and content relevance.
  • Innovate beyond traditional content boundaries, merging advertising, technology, and interactive experiences.
  • Leverage insights and analytics to craft compelling narratives across diverse formats.
  • Develop comprehensive programs across the brand portfolio for a variety of advertisers.
  • Work closely with the sales team to generate strategically sound communication ideas.
  • Present creative concepts to clients in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Brief internal teams on the creative vision for all projects.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in national advertising pre-sales or media planning, including digital, mobile, programmatic, social media, and events.
  • A passionate advocate for equalpride brands and the LGBTQ+ community, with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and intersectional representation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to major advertising agencies and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership experience in team management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MRI, comScore, Salesforce, Media Radar, and all major social platforms.
  • Self-motivated and assertive, with a competitive spirit.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
