Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated professional with a minimum of 1+ years of experience in special education to provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, collaborating with parents/guardians, support staff, and related service providers.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the unique needs and abilities of students with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and promoting learning.
  • Employ a variety of instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technologies to facilitate student engagement and success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid TX teaching certification or licensure for Special Education.
  • Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Understanding of individualized instruction, behavior management techniques, and evidence-based interventions.

Location: DeSoto, TX

Caseload: TK-3rd or 4th

Schedule: 3 days/week (20 hours)
