Traffic Signal Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Signal Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the City of DeSoto, TX.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team to maintain and repair traffic signals and signs on streets and roadways.
Main Responsibilities- Instructing crews on various tasks and ensuring they have the necessary tools and equipment to complete their work efficiently
- Completing regular maintenance and repair tasks on traffic signals and signs, including fabricating new signs and preparing equipment for installation
- Installing and modifying signals, as well as completing inspections and maintaining roadway lighting
- Working as a lead for a unit or group, overseeing signal and flasher maintenance, and preparing equipment for installation
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school graduation or equivalent
- Three years of experience constructing and repairing traffic signal systems and signs
- Knowledge of methods, materials, and techniques used in the maintenance, construction, installation, and repair of traffic signals and signs

- A competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience
