Commercial Lending Relationship Specialist

Position Overview:
The Commercial Relationship Manager will be responsible for overseeing and nurturing commercial loan accounts, ensuring adherence to established lending standards while optimizing profitability and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance commercial loan portfolios to align with lending criteria.
- Drive the bank's growth and profitability through the establishment of strong commercial partnerships.
- Collaborate with branch leadership to formulate strategic business plans and sales objectives.
- Advocate for bank products and services to both current and prospective commercial clients.
- Broaden existing client relationships through effective cross-selling and referrals.
- Introduce innovative products or initiatives aimed at improving customer service and fostering growth.
- Oversee lending support staff and customer service teams, providing necessary training and mentorship.
- Negotiate loan terms and continuously assess the credit quality of the loan portfolio.
- Identify and cultivate referral sources to generate additional business opportunities.
- Conduct interviews with loan applicants, evaluate financial data, and make informed lending decisions.
- Engage in community initiatives and business development efforts.
- Actively participate in efforts to reduce overdue loans and non-performing assets.
- Contribute to Loan Committee discussions and maintain positive relationships with support personnel.
- Address inquiries and fulfill additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Two to three years of experience in commercial and consumer lending.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of lending policies and procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously, inspire team members, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
- Proficient in analyzing complex financial data and providing sound recommendations.
- Strong skills in business development and customer relationship management.
