Transportation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Engineer to join our team as a Project Lead. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects related to multimodal transportation infrastructure, corridor planning, and systemic safety improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including planners, landscape architects, and engineers, to deliver comprehensive transportation solutions.
- Develop and implement creative solutions for challenging projects, leveraging your expertise in multimodal transportation infrastructure, corridor planning, and systemic safety improvements.
- Manage tasks and small projects, mentoring junior team members and developing their project management skills.
- Participate in business development pursuits, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- A professional engineering license in Texas or the ability to obtain one within the next year.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in civil or transportation engineering.
- At least 6 years of experience in civil or transportation engineering, with a strong background in multimodal transportation infrastructure, corridor planning, and systemic safety improvements.
- Experience managing tasks and small projects, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Strong understanding of AASHTO and MUTCD standards, as well as Texas state and local regulations.
- Proficiency in technical software, including AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Synchro.
- Knowledge of SimTraffic, Highway Capacity Software, SIDRA, and VISSIM.
- Experience with signal design and preparation of transportation and local agency permit documents.
- Experience developing construction documents and/or public agency construction administration.
- Specific experience in roadway grading, drainage design, geometric design, 3D modeling, and design of accessible public spaces.
