Team Overview
The Regional Sales Executive plays a vital role within our Siplast team, focusing on specialized building enclosure solutions tailored for the commercial construction sector. This remote position necessitates the establishment of a home office and involves significant travel (60-80%) to engage with clients, attend events, and participate in offsite meetings.
Key Responsibilities
The Regional Sales Executive is tasked with promoting and selling Siplast products while managing various administrative functions within their designated territory. Responsibilities include:
- Engaging in specification selling to key stakeholders such as major property owners, architects, roofing consultants, and contractors. This involves identifying potential projects, initiating timely contact, and ensuring effective follow-up while utilizing company-provided sales tools and developing additional resources like local project documentation and testimonials.
- Contributing to the development and upkeep of a quality contractor program, leveraging knowledge of the contractor landscape and active participation in local industry organizations. This includes managing contractor relationships through regular reviews, training sessions, and monitoring of Siplast product applications.
- Providing technical support by developing and reviewing roofing specifications for upcoming projects, participating in pre-job meetings, conducting site inspections, and troubleshooting as necessary. Collaborating closely with field technical representatives to address the technical needs of the territory is essential.
- Managing the sales budget, including forecasting and tracking sales-related expenses to ensure compliance with established policies.
- Completing all required administrative tasks, including itineraries, expense reports, prospect lists, job quotes, and activity reports, in accordance with company guidelines.
- Administering pricing strategies to maximize profitability on each project while ensuring timely documentation and justifying any necessary pricing adjustments based on various factors.
- Assisting the Credit Manager in maintaining accounts in good standing.
- Ability to drive and travel independently as needed.
- Capability to climb ladders and work at heights while demonstrating roofing applications.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Visual acuity for inspections and document review.
- Manual dexterity for data entry and filing tasks.
- Effective communication skills for phone interactions.
- Physical ability to perform filing functions and lift items up to 50 lbs.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the roofing or construction sector.
- At least 1 year of experience in managing client relationships.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to maintain a credit card for business expenses.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.
- Sales experience in the building materials industry, particularly in multi-channel selling.
