Compensation: $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Position Summary:
The Project Engineer will work collaboratively with design professionals, clients, subcontractors, and tradespeople to address intricate electrical coordination challenges. This role is crucial in preventing and resolving technical issues that may arise. The Project Engineer will also spearhead our quality control initiatives on-site, which includes document review from preconstruction through to commissioning and punch list completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret construction documents and technical specifications.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technology in daily tasks, including laser digital scanning, BIM, and Bluebeam document management.
  • Document meeting minutes, create schedule graphs, and maintain activity checklists.
  • Manage requests for information and change documents from various offices.
  • Organize and archive record documents efficiently.
  • Conduct field surveying and establish control lines and benchmarks.
  • Store and retrieve information using computer systems.
  • Serve as a technical advisor at the on-site construction office.
  • Access all areas of the construction site for progress assessments.
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Handle documents and survey equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Willingness to relocate as necessary.
Essential Functions:
  • Work involves a combination of standing, walking, and sitting throughout the day.
  • Climbing ladders and stairs is required occasionally.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer tasks.
  • Visual acuity for near, mid, and far distances, including color vision and depth perception.
  • Ability to hear conversational levels and alarms on equipment.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for group settings and phone interactions.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Minimal bending, twisting, kneeling, or crawling required.
  • Constant mental alertness and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on assignments.
  • Creativity, independent judgment, and organizational skills are necessary for achieving desired outcomes.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills, with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Educational background in construction materials and methods.
  • Experience in organizing technical data accurately, familiar with the CSI specification system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to work effectively with trades and craftspeople in a field environment, demonstrating patience and professionalism.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while addressing urgent inquiries.
  • Training in reading design documents, specifications, and survey techniques.
  • Strong visual observation and interpretation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, laser digital scanning, BIM, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Suretrack Project Manager, and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
