The Project Engineer (PE) will assist the Project Manager (PM) and Superintendent (Supt) as necessary to ensure the successful execution of all project phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the submittal process
  • Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process
  • Administer the change order proposal process
  • Provide research, support, and data entry as required by the PM and Supt
  • Conduct budget revisions and modifications in Viewpoint as needed throughout the project
  • Support the maintenance of a high safety standard in line with Abbott's core values
  • Combine engineering knowledge, construction methods, and management skills effectively
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects to meet deadlines
  • Support the estimating department by engaging subcontractors for projects and managing plan distribution
  • Act as the primary contact for subcontractors as directed by the Project Manager
  • Step in as Project Manager when the PM is unavailable
Essential Skills
  • Strong negotiation and leadership abilities
  • Understanding of accounting, financial statements, job costing, and cash flow
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred
Qualifications
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field
  • Motivated for a long-term career in construction
  • Minimum of 2 years of project engineering experience
The salary range for this position is competitive and includes eligibility for a target bonus.
