As part of the Greater Austin Performing Arts Center, Inc., the Cultural Programs Administrator will play a pivotal role in managing a variety of community-oriented initiatives, particularly focusing on the administration of grant programs aimed at enhancing the cultural landscape of Austin.

This position is primarily dedicated to overseeing five distinct cultural funding grant programs, ensuring thoroughness, effective communication, and timely follow-up with both internal teams and community collaborators. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting Austin's artistic community, coupled with a keen ability to handle detail-oriented tasks and engage with the public effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a substantial volume of grant applications, assessing eligibility and completeness through an online system.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and provide assistance to applicants and recipients throughout the grant process.
  • Ensure meticulous record-keeping and organization.
  • Compile and present data and reports for both internal and external stakeholders, adhering to established accounting and auditing standards.
  • Support the management of the current online grant application system.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on processing payments for grant recipients.
  • Assist the marketing team with initiatives related to community engagement.
  • Work in conjunction with various city departments to facilitate program logistics and execution.
  • Carry out additional related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative roles, along with an Associate's Degree in a relevant field; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various online platforms.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience within Austin's creative sector.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Spanish language proficiency is advantageous.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both in-office and remote work flexibility. The starting salary for this role is $45,000 annually. In addition to the salary, the Greater Austin Performing Arts Center provides comprehensive benefits for all full-time employees, including:
  • 9 paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays.
  • 4 weeks of accrued paid time off, increasing to 5 weeks after 4 years of service.
  • Fully covered health insurance options, including a PPO plan and a high-deductible health plan with employer contributions to an HSA, along with options for subsidized dental, vision, disability, and additional life insurance.
