Job Title: Director of NICU

Job Overview:

The NICU Director plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient-centered care in the Level III NICU department. This leadership position oversees daily operations, staffing, and forecasting to maintain a seamless flow of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.

• Manage clinical practice variation to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost management.

• Ensure adherence to internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, legal, and regulatory standards.

• Oversee patient throughput, volume forecasting, and admission/discharge planning to ensure patient-centered care.

• Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration among staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education required; BSN preferred.

• Master's Degree preferred.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or compact licensure, in accordance with law and regulation.

• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

• NRP, FHM, and RNC-OB certifications preferred for L&D nurses.
