NICU Speech Therapy Director Position

We are seeking an exceptional and experienced speech therapist to lead our NICU team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center, a top-ranked healthcare provider in the nation.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive treatment plans for patients in the NICU, ensuring seamless collaboration between the team, patient, and family.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create and manage treatment programs that cater to the diverse needs of NICU patients.
  • Lead and direct the work of licensed therapists to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Provide timely evaluation and feedback to students during affiliation periods.
Core Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Possess a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent discipline.
  • Hold current Texas licensure in Speech Pathology and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Meet the requirements for Certificate of Clinical Competence administered by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or current Clinical Fellowship Plan approved by ASHA.

This critical leadership role comes with an estimated salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, contingent on experience and qualifications.
