**Job Title:** Nursing Department Head

**Estimated Salary:** $130,000 - $160,000 per year.

Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas is seeking an experienced nursing professional to serve as our Nursing Department Head. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our nursing team, ensuring that all aspects of patient care are delivered safely and effectively.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape. A Master's degree in nursing, business administration, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role in a healthcare organization are required.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring safe and effective delivery of patient care.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, administrators, and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these challenges.

**Requirements:**

  • Masters degree in nursing, business administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role in a healthcare organization.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Nurse Executive credentialed from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) preferred.
