We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the design, architecture, implementation, and maintenance of our simulation capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the integration of our simulation platform with essential components of our autonomy framework.
- Collaborate with technical leads and domain experts to devise innovative methods for testing and assessing our algorithms, particularly for edge cases and rare scenarios.
- Drive the development of new functionalities to enhance the accuracy of our simulation outcomes and establish novel evaluation metrics for assessing the performance of our self-driving technology.
- Produce clear, maintainable, and concise code.
- Engage with external partners to facilitate new features and align them with our internal processes.
- Strong technical foundation (BS, MS, PhD, or equivalent professional experience) in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- Proficient software developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in production-level C++ programming.
- High standards for software quality and a rigorous, testing-oriented approach.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to iterate rapidly and engage in hands-on work.
- Enthusiasm for learning about all facets of autonomous vehicles.
- Practical experience with one or more autonomous vehicle simulation platforms.
- Familiarity with modern C++ (C++14 and later) and version control systems (e.g., git).
- Hands-on experience in robotics fields such as perception, planning, localization, modeling, or control.
- Interest in defining autonomy metrics and evaluation methodologies.
- Experience with contemporary DevOps practices.

The salary range for this full-time position is $175,000-$230,000 plus bonuses, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay influenced by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
