Position Overview:
This role is integral to supporting the legal division and the organization in maintaining compliance with record retention protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the retention and disposal of corporate records in accordance with relevant legal and business standards.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of records management strategies and guidelines.
  • Prepare compliance documentation and manage documentation control processes.
  • Develop expertise in corporate records policies and aid in their interpretation and enforcement.
  • Ensure the appropriate handling of confidential and sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with various departments to optimize record management practices and provide guidance on file organization.
  • Review and support compliance with retention schedules across departments.
  • Act as a point of contact between the legal department and other divisions regarding records inquiries.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Position Requirements:
  • Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with electronic data management systems and filing practices, including complex file setups and retention policies.
  • Additional Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in document retention within a corporate or legal setting is preferred.
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Travel: Minimal travel may be required.
Compliance Duties:
  • Adhere to records retention regulations across international, national, and state laws relevant to various industries.
  • Follow all company policies and safety protocols while ensuring a secure work environment.
  • Maintain a high standard of integrity and confidentiality in all company matters.
Working Relationships:
This position reports to the Product Compliance Manager within the Legal Department and collaborates closely with legal, IT, and other departments.
