Position Overview

We are seeking a Tax Compliance Specialist to join our Finance team. This role offers a flexible work schedule, allowing for remote work 1 or 2 days a week. Depending on your experience and skillset, there is potential for advancement within the position.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Tax Compliance Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Preparing various federal and state income tax returns, as well as international compliance.
  • Completing year-end income tax provisions.
  • Supporting tax research projects and income tax examinations.
  • Ensuring compliance with U.S. and state tax authorities, as well as international regulations.
  • Focusing primarily on International and Federal Tax matters.
Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Equivalent education may include an Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent plus 2 years of related experience, or 4 years of related experience.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with progressively expanding responsibilities in various accounting areas.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in a flexible environment without relocation assistance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly valued.
  • Experience in public accounting or within a large, multinational corporation.
  • Proficiency in income tax matters.
  • Strong Excel skills, along with experience in workflow or automation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Managing assigned income, franchise, sales/use, value-added, and miscellaneous tax returns.
  • Preparing federal and state tax returns, estimates, extensions, and related workpapers to ensure compliance.
  • Assisting with various accounting functions, including tax account reconciliations and provisions.
  • Reviewing tax laws and drafting proposals for recommended actions.
  • Conducting analyses of law changes and their impact on business operations.
  • Assisting with financial and tax audits and drafting responses to inquiries.
  • Utilizing office automation and communication tools effectively.
  • Occasionally traveling for business purposes.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
