Job Summary

The Residence Supervisor - Operations will oversee the day-to-day operations of the residence, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on staff supervision, training, and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Assure initial and periodic follow-up of individual programmatic and clinical assessments
    • Conduct Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and write meeting minutes
  • Staff Supervision and Development
    • Monitor and direct staff responsible for daily residence operations
    • Train, guide, and motivate staff in implementing individual treatment plans
    • Ensure IDT team recommendations are carried out
  • Community Relations and Maintenance
    • Responsible for good community relations, particularly with the surrounding community
    • Oversee the ordering, stocking, and maintenance of residence supplies
  • Employee Relations and Performance Management
    • Complete and administer performance evaluations of union staff
    • Resolve employee-related problems and issues, including conflict resolution
    • Participate in the grievance process with union employees
  • Training and Professional Development
    • Attend conferences and training sessions as directed by the Area Coordinator/Residence Director
    • Maintain accurate and timely written records and reports
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with a strong focus on staff development and community relations. A background in social services or a related field is preferred.
