Job Summary

The Doe Fund Inc is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residence Manager to join our team. As a key member of our residential program, you will be responsible for the supervision of residents and the overall operation of the facility during designated shifts.

Working collaboratively with the clinical team and program director, you will ensure that resident needs are being met and that the facility is safe. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and an understanding of working with the HIV/AIDS population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a liaison between the residents and the staff
  • Collaborate with the security staff during his/her tour of duty to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents
  • Perform hourly patrols through the facility
  • Manage any challenging situations and/or crises that may occur at the facility
  • Responsible for handling any incidents that may occur at the facility and completing an Incident Report form, as needed
  • Communicate noteworthy events to the Program Director and the Clinical team as well as document them in the appropriate logbook
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings
  • Ensure all aspects of the Fire Alarm System (FAS) are working properly and are up to code with FDNY
  • Visually inspect and document all components of the FAS
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED, some college preferred
  • At least two years of experience working in a social service, residential setting
  • Working knowledge of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, mental illness, and homelessness
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer efficient – internet and Microsoft Office
