Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate individual to serve as a Patient Coordinator at the Diabetes and Thyroid Center of Fort Worth, PLLC. As a Patient Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and seamless experience from appointment scheduling to check-out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting Patients with a Welcoming Demeanor: Greet patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, creating a positive first impression.
  • Scheduling Appointments: Schedule appointments and coordinate patient appointments with healthcare providers, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
  • Verifying Patient Information: Verify patient information and insurance coverage, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Answering Patient Inquiries: Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collecting Payments: Collect payments and process insurance claims, ensuring accurate and efficient financial transactions.
  • Maintaining Patient Records: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
  • Assisting with Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks as needed, supporting the overall efficiency of the medical office.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills with great attention to detail, ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
