About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President to join our Alternative Capital Markets team at Goldman Sachs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for helping to drive the growth and development of our alternative investment solutions, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage relationships with external managers, including new product development and coordination of external sales professionals.
  • Source and originate new alternative investment offerings to meet client demand and address current market opportunities.
  • Provide input on ACM sales strategy across client segments, advising on growth strategies for new offerings/solutions, and develop segment-specific fund-raising strategies.
  • Lead marketing of alternative investment offerings across GS client segments and regions, including managing overall fund-raising activity, developing marketing collateral/strategy pitch, and engaging advisors/clients by organizing road shows/events/campaigns.
  • Lead client portfolio reviews, including alternative portfolio analysis/implementation guidance, as well as provide performance attribution and fund commentary.
  • Drive education of alternative investment themes and portfolio implementation for all GS client segments and regions by coordinating across ACM, GS CIO, GS investment teams, and external managers to provide best-in-class thought leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets and investment instruments.
  • 5+ years experience in asset management, private equity, or hedge funds.
  • Prior experience in sales of alternative investment products, either at another private bank or to private banking clients preferred.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sophisticated and tactful client manager who can effectively manage the entire investor lifecycle.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines.
  • Self-starter, with ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment and across group functions.
  • Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail.
