Patient Access Coordinator

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Patient Access functions within the Physical Therapy department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient interviews to obtain demographic, insurance, and financial information for registration, insurance verification, prior authorization, and billing.
- Perform check-in procedures and manage patient flow processes.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and calculate estimated patient financial liability.
- Schedule patients for evaluation and treatment according to provider guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
This position will be based in a normal busy office environment with frequent telephone work and direct patient contact. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
